The 19th main game in the Atelier franchise and third game in the Mysterious game trilogy. The game features two main characters and changes some of the previous game's systems. A new crafting feature, called Enchanting Agents, was added to the Synthesis system. 6 characters participate in combat, each attacker can have a support characters to help out, and you can now craft items while in combat.

What it’s like

Atelier Lydie & Suelle offers a vibrant, saccharine journey through whimsical Mysterious Paintings, driven by the distinct personalities of its dual protagonists. The experience centers on alchemical synthesis and business management, where players craft items to solve problems rather than defeat enemies. Visually, it is a standout entry with colorful, polished art that captures the unique personality of each painted world. However, the narrative suffers from noticeable pacing issues, often feeling episodic rather than cohesive. Combat is turn-based and accessible, featuring a novel mechanic that allows crafting mid-battle, though it lacks deep strategic complexity. The game excels in atmosphere and character charm, providing a cozy, low-stress adventure for fans of the series' formula. While the synthesis systems are refined with new Enchanting Agents, the overall depth remains moderate, focusing more on collection and progression than intricate build variety or challenging gameplay loops.

Keep in mind The narrative pacing is frequently cited as sluggish, with backtracking making certain chapters feel like a slog. · Combat and synthesis systems lack the mechanical depth found in other RPGs, appealing primarily to those who enjoy its specific cozy aesthetic.
