VideoBall

VideoBall is a sport everyone can play. VideoBall is simple enough for a party. VideoBall is deep enough for the best party ever. VideoBall combines our favorite elements of arcade shooting games, modern first-person shooters, and modern real-time strategy games with the depth of soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and rugby. In VideoBall you maneuver a player using directional buttons or either of your controller's analog sticks. Press any button or pull any trigger to project a triangle. Only triangles can push balls. Triangles also stun players on impact. Hold any button to charge bigger triangles. Bigger triangles push harder. Push balls into the opposing goal to score points. Hold a button long enough to build a defensive square. Shoot defensive squares to destroy them.
What it’s like
Videoball delivers a deceptively simple yet fiercely competitive abstract sport experience. Stripped of narrative or character depth, the game focuses entirely on mechanical mastery within minimalist arenas. Players control geometric shapes to push balls toward goals, utilizing charged projectiles and defensive structures in real-time tactical engagements. The core appeal lies in its tight, responsive controls that reward precision and strategic foresight over reflexes alone. While the single-player mode offers a competent arcade grind against AI opponents, the experience truly shines in local multiplayer settings. It serves as an excellent party game bridge, accessible enough for casual players to grasp immediately while offering sufficient strategic complexity to keep dedicated gamers engaged. The tone is manic and energetic, driven by the immediate feedback of successful pushes and stunned opponents rather than atmospheric storytelling.

Keep in mind The single-player content is limited to a repetitive arcade mode that may feel shallow after extended sessions. Players seeking narrative depth, character development, or complex world-building will find this abstract title devoid of those elements.
