The Swapper is a short puzzle platformer where you must complete every puzzle and collect 124 orbs, in groups of 3 and 9 later on, to complete the game. The game has a tool which lets you create up to 4 clones and switch between them as long as you have a clear line of sight. The main obstacles for the puzzles are 3 kinds of lights that interfere with the tool in different ways to make the puzzles harder. Achievements/Trophies are tied to hidden consoles instead of story progress so a guide will most likely be needed to find all 10.

What it’s like

The Swapper is a contemplative sci-fi puzzle platformer defined by its striking claymation aesthetic and profound existential themes. Players navigate a desolate space station using the 'Swapper' device to create clones of themselves, solving intricate environmental puzzles that require precise coordination between multiple bodies. The experience is less about reflexes and more about logical deduction and spatial reasoning, offering a slow-burn mystery that questions the nature of identity and mortality. While the gameplay loop remains focused on mechanical clarity, the narrative delivers a philosophical weight through atmospheric storytelling rather than explicit exposition. The game’s short length ensures a tight, curated journey without filler, relying on its unique visual craft and moody tone to leave a lasting impression. It is a cerebral experience for those who appreciate minimalist design and thought-provoking sci-fi concepts over action or extensive replayability.

Keep in mind The game's brevity may feel underwhelming to players seeking a long-form adventure, and the lack of in-game hints can make certain puzzles frustratingly opaque without external guides. Additionally, its slow, atmospheric pace and somber tone may not appeal to those preferring fast-paced action or lighthearted narratives.
