Splasher is a 2D platformer that offers arcade action. With a powerful and surprising paint canon the player will have to face great challenges and use all his skills to rescue the Splashers. These little fellows are working as peons in a big factory, Inkorp. The Evil ruler of the company, Le Docteur, has insane plans that threatens them all with a terrible fate. Along his journey, the player will have to master the power of his paint cannon. He will soon find out that each color offers special abilities, from crazy bouncing to sticking to walls, or even tricking encounters and changing their behaviour. The game will offer more than twenty levels, a time attack mode with leaderboards, epic boss fights and many other cool features.

What it’s like

Splasher delivers a high-octane, precision-focused 2D platforming experience wrapped in a vibrant, comic-book aesthetic. The core loop revolves around mastering a paint cannon that functions as both weapon and movement tool; players must rapidly switch colors to bounce off surfaces, adhere to walls, or alter enemy behavior. This mechanic creates a fluid, fast-paced rhythm where agility and reflexes are paramount. While the narrative setup involves rescuing workers from a tyrannical factory owner, it serves primarily as a lightweight backdrop for the action rather than a focal point. The game is structured around a series of challenging levels that introduce mechanics incrementally, ensuring a steep but fair learning curve. With time attack modes and leaderboards, the experience emphasizes mastery and speedrunning potential over narrative depth or open-world exploration.

Keep in mind The story and character development are minimal, serving only as a thin justification for the gameplay. Players seeking deep lore, complex narrative choices, or relaxed pacing will likely find it lacking.
