Synopsis
A dark retro horror FPS set in a comic book style world inspired by the novels of H.P. Lovecraft. As the only one with full senses, you begin a journey in search for answers and relief. How long can you last?
What it’s like
Forgive Me Father delivers a visceral, high-octane experience that marries the frantic energy of classic arcade shooters with the cosmic dread of Lovecraftian horror. Visually, it stands out as a striking hybrid of 2D comic book aesthetics and 3D environments, creating a unique, stylized world that feels like a living graphic novel. The core loop is defined by relentless, fast-paced combat where you battle hordes of cultists and twisted eldritch abominations. A defining mechanical layer is the dynamic madness system; as your sanity fluctuates, it alters both your perception and your capabilities, adding a strategic risk-reward element to the chaos. While the narrative serves primarily as a thematic backdrop for the action rather than a deep literary exploration, the atmosphere is thick with religious iconography and cosmic terror. The game prioritizes adrenaline-fueled gunplay and sensory immersion over complex storytelling or technical stability, offering a nostalgic yet distinctively modern take on retro FPS mechanics.

Keep in mind The game suffers from noticeable technical issues and performance bugs that can detract from the immersion. Additionally, its heavy reliance on fast-paced action and horror themes may alienate players seeking narrative depth or a more relaxed pace.
