Synopsis
Enjoy Dying Light in its richest form. Containing all four major DLCs and seventeen skin bundles, the Platinum Edition brings together everything you need to explore all the post-apocalyptic world has to offer.
What it’s like
Dying Light: Platinum Edition delivers a visceral first-person survival experience defined by its exceptional parkour mechanics. The core loop revolves around vertical traversal across Harran’s rooftops, creating a unique rhythm where movement is the primary weapon against hordes of infected. As day turns to night, the atmosphere shifts from cautious exploration to high-stakes terror, with nocturnal predators introducing genuine danger. The open world encourages thorough exploration, rewarding players with loot and upgrades that fuel a satisfying RPG progression system. While the narrative is functional rather than profound, it serves as a solid backdrop for the action. The inclusion of 'The Following' DLC adds significant variety with its off-road buggy driving segments and expansive countryside, breaking up the urban density. Multiplayer co-op enhances the chaos, allowing friends to tackle missions together, though the game’s technical polish can be inconsistent across platforms.

Keep in mind The narrative depth is often criticized as generic, offering little beyond standard zombie apocalypse tropes. Additionally, performance issues and frame rate drops have been noted on certain hardware, particularly the Switch port, which can detract from the precision required for parkour.
