Synopsis
Manage your own discount supermarket! Get caught up in small-town drama, organize and plan your shop's layout, and strike lucrative trade deals as you expand your secretive aunt's business empire. Selling more frozen fries will surely heal this broken community...right?
What it’s like
Discounty offers a cozy, pixel-art management simulation where you expand your aunt’s secretive supermarket empire in a small town. The core loop focuses on the satisfying rhythm of stocking shelves, optimizing store layouts, and negotiating trade deals to maximize profits. Visually, it delivers a vibrant 32-bit aesthetic that remains engaging over long sessions. Socially, you interact with a quirky cast of villagers, building relationships that add flavor to the daily grind. Progression is driven by tangible business growth, with each expansion feeling rewarding yet challenging. While the narrative exists as a backdrop to your capitalist rise, it often takes a backseat to the mechanical depth of shop management. The experience is defined by its 'cozy' tone and the tactile pleasure of retail logistics, appealing to players who enjoy structured, incremental improvement over complex storytelling or high-stakes drama.
